Empty Bowls is a fundraising effort by the Gleaning Project in conjunction with World Hunger Week. Guests can grab a handmade ceramic bowl loaded with delicious apple desserts. All proceeds go towards the Gleaning Project’s mission of eliminating food insecurity in Adams County.
Kids Day is a great event where children of all ages can learn about healthy food and how farmers grow their favorite garden treats. Complete with educational games, prizes, and face painting, Kids Day at the farmer’s market is great fun for the whole family.
Senior Day at the farmers market is a time to celebrate our elders in the Gettysburg community. It is an informative and interactive event to promote healthy living and nutrition. Seniors can also get information on market programs such as the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program and Healthy Options.
