Richard Sawyer’s Grateful Acres farm just outside of Gettysburg, PA, has been producing high quality summer vegetables, fruits, and herbs, for the past 15 years. This green thumb, part-time farmer is well-known in the area for his large variety of hot peppers and fresh greens. He has expanded his garden to include many varieties of lavender which is sold in both fresh cut and dried stalks. His wife and daughters create a large variety of sachets, wreaths, dryer pouches, microwave sacs,
wands, and other treasures made with the aromatic buds from his plants.Everything he sells at his stand is produced in the rich farmlands of Adams County.
